under car neon lights

yes

just make sure you mount them so you cant see the bars otherwise it will look really nasty.

Obviously it makes it easier if you've got a bodykit cause theres more places to bolt it too.

Hey Jazz. Nice to see you on the forum. A garage along my road does under car neons. He is one of those old fashioned mechanics and gets his job done. if i come down Southgate then i wil drop by yours and i can give you his address and telephone number or we can go together. Worse come to worse you can take your car to Clifford on Essex road. My mate will put them on for you for free but remember they are illigal

@ Jazz. I don't wish to offend you, but these are the sort of cars that deserve neons...



My advice is keep the £30 its gonna cost you for the 'neonz' and get either

a) Cubby box mod
b) High gloss door trims
c) Aero wiper (if you haven't got it already)

you'll get the transformer in the kit as, i would suggest spending extra and getting some like mine, instead of neons they are LED bars that can be set (if your that way inclined) to flash in different patterns, even in time with the music. these are waterproof and will last loads longer than neons.

If you know anything about electrics you should be able to follow the wiring diagram, if not and ICE dealership will charge between £50 and £80 to fit them

Thanx nelson. I used to share ur opinion about the novas and the neons, but I have recently seen a few 9n polos wiv neons and they do look gd.

Benefits of LEDS

UK Law: If the tubes themselves are visible then specific colours have to be used i.e red for the back, orange for the sides, white for the front etc.

There is no definitive law for lights placed underneath the vehicle, they are not classed as legal or illegal. Technically the light is not projected, it is only a glow - so the colour shouldn't matter. However the legal situation for lighting under vehicles is not clear cut and cannot be satisfactorily answered until there is a law made defining their legality. We are pressing for clearer up to date laws on the matter and would like to get them legalised.

It is important to mention that a minority of the Police don't like ground lighting and may ask you to switch the system off. If they are met with verbal abuse or arguing then they could find a reason to issue a ticket.

At the end of the day it is up to your own discretion as to whether you switch your ground lighting on whilst on the road.

thanx for the led info. ive been quoted £315 from r tec to fit and supply the leds. does that sound about rite.

sounds about right from RTec. Just check the brand first (although RTec dont normally use cheap brands)

Hey m8,
Yeah it's not too hard at all to fit them yourself. Basically follow all of the instructions and use a haynes manual to help u out if u can't work out the electrics. I had them on mine until some thieving bastardo nicked them off so make sure they can't see them. Sadly all of mine were out of view except the back one (hardest to hide without a diffuser). If I get some more i'll either get a diffuser or wire them up without a rear tube.
If I can get the time I will post info on how to do it with pics on the mods page.
