Do Mk3 Ibiza's come standard with a rear ARB. Might be worth going to a scrappy?

Good News.

I finally got a look at my mates Mk3 Seat Ibiza Cupra. The rear axle looks indentical to the Polo. I used a tape measure and all measurements where roughly the same. I took the axle length to be at 1400mm approx.

Fingers crossed, I'm going to order the whiteline ARB, sometime soon. Wish me luck

My friend transfered over ARBs from a MK2 Golf to his MK3 Ibiza Cupra, he was told at the time he bought them that the MK2 Golf ones is a direct fit to a MK4/5 Polo. So in a round about way the Mk3s ARB should fit the Polo.

Thanks Dave,

That info at least gives me a little more confidence I was looking for.

I have now already ordered the ARB.

Oh the suspense

Here's hoping it fits ok! As I've said before I'll be very interested to know the results.

IT FITS IT FITS IT FITS
Like a glove :D

Fitting it this morning. I was bit sceptical at first, it took about 2 hours to complete. But I probably could fit it in 30 mins now 8)

Handling. First corner felt very wierd, I was not too confident about the ugrade, but after 5 miles of driving it started to settle in and improve, and it has not stopped yet. Little or no body roll from the rear. tbh I am now considering a thicker front ARB. But im gonna wait a while untill it fully settles in.

:D :D :D

PS dont worry i be will posting some pic's up later, possibly a how to guide.

That's great, I'll be ordering one as soon as I get some money! Have you got any strut braces up front?

Excellent. This is just what my Polo has been crying out for ages. With the ARB I can really throw the car round corners, without resorting to prayer

Also rear just feels planted to the road, and stable at speed. Love it. 8)
