Hello and welcome,

Looks like you have the ideal base for a project. Personally, i'd remove the lexus lights, smooth or spray the strubbing strips, gti splitter, nice set of rims and a sensible drop or around 80mm

My mate told me that the lexus lights look ok seeing as its a red car.... Just bought a new grill the "honeycomb" one which should make it look better... Are the alloys ok?

Firstly, in all honesty it's your car so there is no "Ok" look that it should have. Do what you like, not what meets with the approval of people on a forum!

Secondly however, I would go with what vdubit said and remove the Lexus lights. The standard Mk5 lights are all red, and seen as it's on a Flash red car you won't find a better looking combination in my opinion.

Honeycomb grille should look good, and again as vdubit says a GTi splitter makes a nice subtle difference to the front end.

As for the wheels, I think you'd be better spending the money on lowering first. That'll make a bigger visual difference compared to spending more money on wheels, but still having a high ride height.

Things id do, colour code her, gti splitter and grill, standard lights back on, tint the rear three windows and lower her. I actually like the wheels so id keep them.

vag parts and just go to a dealer, they are not that expensive to be honest mate and will make a nbice difference to the front!

things i'd do......lowering first, i like the alloys, you don't see alot of that style around anymore so i'd keep them!
also i'd get a black interior mirror, the white one sticks out a bit!

i'm with the other about the lexus lights, not ot my taste but as some of the others have said, its YOUR taste that counts here and no one elses!

ps-welcome to the forum :D

If I were in your situation:

Lower it first. Suspension kits are readily available nowadays. There's no point in colour coding the black trim, it looks pretty good anyway, and adds a nice contrast.

Lose the Lexus lights. They're tacky and over-done in my opinion. Stick the originals back on, and flog the Lexus lights on ebay. Someone will buy them.

This is just my opinion however, it's your car, and you should do what you want to do, and you shouldn't feel obliged to please everyone on the forum, be a bit controversial.

Of course, always declare your mods with your insurance company :)

Def get rid of the lexus lights, they should have kept them to the lexus's only.

Depends how much you want to spend, there's so many things you can do. Lowering will look excellent as the car will sit much lower and give it that sexier stance.
