I got a forge fitted, i will post pics tomorrow. Only thing i'm not too keen on is that on passenger side strut there is a cut out to allow for damper on other vag vehicles. There are two finishes polished or brushed, i went for polished. Same finish as your forge valve. Loads of clearance but as i said before when an air filter change is needed you will need to take brace off. Think with momo item filter change can be done without removal. Forge one is more direct from strut to strut though

Jeff gti
Have you found a company that actually makes a front lower strut brace? If not do you know of a company that would consider making one as you mentioned getting one. I would be well up for one!

Jeff matey

only just seen this thread... so might be too late but..

i looked into the front strut brace for our cars, and they dont fit cos the ecu is in the way next to the nearside suspension turret, so nothing fits under the bonnet unless you re situ your ecu!

hope this helps

...but on the other hand... if you can get it to fit... then ignore my post haha

oh gutted :(

but on the other hand, from looking at the photos of it and how it fits, and looking directly across the 2 most frontal strut top nuts it should clear the ecu i cant see it having clearence problems

i guess ill just have to wait and see,

this was not mentioned to me on the phone and i did state i was fitting it to a 9n3 gti, so if it dont fit, it can easilly go back i guess

hope it does fit tho

strut bracer now also sells the lower brace by omp, ao im gonna be getting that too in a few weeks time
