Engine Start Push Button

Post by randy »

Has anyone fitted an engine start button into their polo and how easy is this?

Anyone able to talk me through it?

Thanks

It just needs to be a link between the power on the starter motor - you will still need the key in to create ignition, and to disable the immobiliser. Unless you choose to install a keyless go system similar to mercedes.

id never wish for anyone to work at VW!! i installed a push start on my previous car (vauxhall nova, i know its bad!!) i used a big red button from maplins for about £2 and just swapped the starter live on the back of the ignition barrel so it went to the switch, you still had to have the key, but just to put the ignition on, pretty sure you can do the same on the polo

my mate had one of these installed in his Zetec S, i dont really get them though, whats the point in a push button start if you have to put the key in in the first place?
