well there was a 6n GTI in germany - so perhaps thats what he is selling? As theres no part no. i cant check it out :P

See I dunno weather it's worth me just finding a used 16V and getting it resprayed or buying one like that ebay one and getting it resprayed :?

how did you get mk5 rear lights to fit a mk4
and also can you therefore use mk4 lights on a mk5????? :?

Because the mark 4 and 5 polo's light cluster is the same shape it just needs some slight fileing down of the plastic to get it to fit flush with the boot lid. Also the wiring needs modifiying but it's simple to do. I used the guide in the DIY section of this forum because it tell you step by step what to do.

You could use MK4 lights on a MK5 if you wanted to I guess, but unless they are aftermarket ones your after the originals look pretty bad (IMO :lol: )

Yeah they do look awful (didn't want to say so though!). I'm thinking about getting colour coded door handles and bump strips if I can because I think it adds the to clean lines of the bodywork.

I was going to get some aftermarket lexus style ones but once i'd seen a Mk4 with the MK5 lights I just had to get them. Even though the MK5 ones were used, they cost the same to buy as the new aftermarkets!

Definatly worth doing to a MK4 though, along with the clear parts on the front and side it takes a good few years off the car.
