Door handles

Post by blackmk3 »

As you know, mk3's have a plastic strip in the middle of the handle. i want to take them out and spray them. they seem like i can pull them off but im not sure.

Anyone tell me how they come off?

if i remember rightly, the got 3 clips in total, one at one end, one at the other and one in the middle! carefully prise em off n u should see the clips, if ya careful, u could use a flat blade screw driver!

Use a tiny straight-headed driver and pop the clips out. Make sure one side of the clips are out before you start yanking at it, or it can quite easily snap

Yeah Mk2 Golf handles are outwardly the same as the Polo ones.

I've got delocked handles off mine, back handles off a 5dr Golf. They're almost a straight swap, but you have to do a little fiddling.

There's a guide on the Club Polo site.

I did the same too, you need to swap the lever mechanism which is pretty easy. Follow the guide on the club polo website and you can't go wrong.

Nice, subtle mod which I was very pleased with 8)

Make you have CL before doing it though

Ah yes, but it's subtle mods which make the world of difference. 8)
