STAGE 2 Re-Map or Audi TT Turbo??

Post by Harnz »

does APR or Awesome GTI do the stage to remap yet as i rang a while back at awesome and they said they dont do it but its on their website.

also: http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/li ... 639727.ece

if you scroll down closer to the bottom of the article Jeremy Clarkson says "This comes with a 148bhp version of the turbocharged 1.8 litre 20-valve engine that produced 237bhp in the old Audi TT. So why not simply change the map and, hey presto, you have a 237bhp Polo. Wow. With something like that, you could bend time."

is this true as i fort it was the golf engin unless they ll have the same powerplant engin just differen turbos. if so can a audi TT turbo b slapped on the polo?

APR dont have a stage two map for the polo.

For stage two u will need to upgrade ur TIP, exhaust, dump valve, pd160 ( i think ) and a FMIC! Oh and ur suspension and brakes would be recommended!

Not sure bout upgrading ur turbo as i have read about that the K03s can handle the extra boost, dont quote me on that tho.

as kenny says, there is no upgrade stage 2 map yet untill demand increases and things like front mounts and other essential tuning parts are more regularly available, they also have to make the map yet too

with the apr map, improved induction inlet, green filter, forge 007p dv, forge tip, forge intercooler hose, n75j valve, miltek turbo back exhaust including high flow cat and downpipe my car produced 222.5 bhp and over 210 at the wheels !!! and thats with the standard k03s turbo,

its just lacking the intercooler to go even further, but even now its mighty responsive and has bullet like acceleration

but i have also as kenny says upgraded the brakes and suspension to match the performance, as i want to be able to stop and handle as well as go

i chose the 312 mm golf iV gti anniversary setup with tarox pads, sport japan disks, goodridge s/s brake hoses, and for stability, i chose eibach coilovers with jabbasport rear arb, poly bushes all round, front and back forge motorsport strut braces etc

going quick is a thrill, but being in control is priceless

harnz, yeah its pretty nippy haha

kenny & kc, i may have to look in to this, as it seems to get fair feedback from ibiza and vrs users, i would have to do it neater though, looks a little messy just like that, would look better mounted from the other side, so just the vents are on show maybe?

Yeh I agree with that, the finish looks like a cheap office air con unit.
