Went to get tracking/Cambers done on my lowered MK4 but couldn't because my bushes need replacing....
Does anyone have a garage they could recommend to me in the (London area) to get the job done...
Also are standard bushes from VW good enough for a lowered car or do many on you get aftermarket bushes?
Would you recommend I buy my own parts and how much am I looking at to get the job done?
MK4 Bushes Need Replacing Garage Recommendation Needed
it really depends on how far you want to go, but it would give you added feel to the car that 80k has worn away.
I just replaced the bushes, it's given the car a better more postive feel.
if i was in your shoes, i would just change the bushes and get the camber and tracking done and take it from there, and poss look to having the ARB bushes( powerflex don't list any for Mk4's just universals, maybe some other company lists them but i've not really looked) and ball joints at a later date.

Mike are VAG Ball joints good enough for a lowered MK4 or is aftermarket recommended?
You believe that I should just get my Wishbones replaced and look at the ball joints at another time... But the guy who recommended me to do both said so because he said that the time/labour will be about the same....
what do you think?

I would go for OEM parts every time, unless they are a uprated item, but somethimes the expense out weights fitting them, best to have a ring round and check part prices, but motor factor parts should be fine unless your planning on doing the Paris-Dakar Rally this year.
If the guy said the price is about the same go for it i say, then it's one thing less to go wrong on the next MOT, had my tracking checked today after fitting my bushes, it was well out -.9 and now the car don't handle like a milk float
