hey iv got a mrk 4 1.4 16v n i wana get the best out out of it. whats the best way around doin it with a conversion.

Get the head ported, flowed and skimmed, polish the valves and combustion-chambers, get a set of adjustable cam-pulley's, get GTIinjectors, fuel pressure regulator, a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and de-cat it.

Swap back the cat, injectors and drop the fuel pressure again for emissions/MOT, and it's "legal" too :wink:

And you're bound to have some more "fun" on the road :twisted:

Depends on how crazy the headwork will be, but how crazier the headwork, the more you will shorten the life-expectance of your engine.

But getting GTI specs (125bhp) is well obtainable, surtainly when you also put in some longer duration camshafts (256 degrees or so).

And fitting a GTI-inlet manifold is also an option :wink:
