Ahhh. You need to realign your throttle body. Its on ross-tech.com under Car Info and Procedures called TBA. It happens where dirt cloggs the butterfly, and it ends up 'home' in a different position than it is used to

You need vag com to do this, but leave your battery disconnected overnight and there is a strong chance when you reconnect it the throttle body will align automatically - its more likely on the 1.0 -1.4 range that this will work so you are good :)

I did think that so i have left my battery disconected, i just wasnt sure as i remember reading back on here that it can mess your sensor up in there, but we shall see in the morning

It should be fine. If left off for days and days then maybe, but one night isnt gonna hurt it :)

Change the com speed in the device manager (or hardware manager depending on which windows version you are using) to 9600 :) Thats the fix for that.

Basically, if you go into the COM port properties, go advanced and you can change it in there.

There is unfortunately no other way to calibrate it apart from that :(

If you go into vag-com, on one of the buttons there is settings or similar and you can set the baud rate in there

I'd recommend doing a TBA anyway. Its important that you do it after the TB is cleaned as it can come back again out of alignment.
