In 120 km/h my 16n running at 4100 rpm. The 16v are NOT having higher ratio compared to a 1,4 8v.

In 195 km/h the Polo MKIV 16v standing at 6550-6600 rpm and the revlimiter breaks in at 205 km/h at 7000 rpm +/- 5 km/h with 195/45-15" wheels fit.
A Polo MKIV 1,0 with the 50 hp engine makes 155 km/h on a flat road - nothing more. 170 km/h if you find a reaaaaaally nice downhill but on flat road 155-160 is the absolute maximum.
The model with 1,4 8v does 165-170 km/h on straight road as maximum.
16v does 200 km/h after a little while with the pedal down.
