Re: The GTI! - Alex's Progress Thread NEW PAINT PG54!!!
The paint looks a little heavy on the engine, although its very red!
Perhaps give it a little rub down with some wet and dry?

When it finally dries, I might try that....just when its dry!!
Then Ill have to paint it up again, so even more time to dry

You should be fine.alexperkins wrote:When it finally dries, I might try that....just when its dry!!

Leave it a couple of days to harden, and just use some really fine wet and dry (wet) flat it down a little and then polish it back up.
Shouldn't need to paint it again

Caliper = Good.
Rocker = Not so good pal, Well heavy it looks like!
I wouldnt flat and polish it as that will be very hard to bring back up by hand and will be very hard to acess, I would flat the whole rocker down again and put only 2 coats on, less is more if done right!
Grubby engine alex aswell god get to cleaning lol!
Do like the shinny calipers tho!

Looks good!
I'm currently in the process of thinking about cleaning the car.. not sure if I'll get past that stage
