Been offered a set of euro rims...

Fronts are 17x8 ET30 and rears are 17x9 ET21

Now I imagine the fronts would be fine, but the rears are a bit of a concern...although I do like poke, but finding it hard to picture just how much poke that would be on a 9n

comparing the gti's standard wheels to the new proposed wheels, here is what you get

new fronts would sit out 27 mm further per corner (54mm wider track for the front axel)

new rears would sit out 49 mm further per corner (98mm wider track for the rear axel)

I used to have a set of 19 by 8.5 on my polo a while back, and the poke is cool looking but the problem your going to have is the rubbing on the bottom part of the arches
i ended up taking paint off my arches when i had a full car a couple of times, so you cant have your car that low unless you want to pay a hundred quid sorting the paint on the arches, you might as well have to cut out a some parts of the mud flaps so that the wheels dont rub them away
there is also a flat piece of metal that you will have to bend back at the back of the rear arches you will know what i mean when you see the rub marks
