that are what connect your ARB (Anti-roll Bar) to the car.
the ARM runs basicly under the engine area to 'hold' the car together for better handling.
Having shortened drop links then moves the ARB higher and futher away from the drive shaft.
When lowering the drive shaft will come into contact with the ARB as the ARB is now lower, so to go over 50mm lower shortened droplinks will stop and rubbing between the ARB and drive shaft. (in theory as mine doesn't  )

I've hurd a few of the mk7 (mainly GTi lads) go for mondeo drop links. but i just ordered shortened droplinks when i bought my coilies and got them thrown in mega cheap.

hope thats correct/helpful.

Ebay got for mk3 mondeo ones

You can get them for about £15 for a pair.

I am running coilovers and I have not changed the drop links and don't have a problem, it all depends how low you go.

I don't suppose you know the off set of your wheels?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-MONDEO-MK3-F ... 7C294%3A50

Have a look at that mate. I am running tt comps and have not changed my drop links.

The only noise I get is the tyre rubbing on the arch liner over large pot holes

I have them wrapped in 205/40/17 toyo proxes
