loss of power

hi there guys i have a 2001 y reg 1.9 turbo diesel polo estate and it runs fine till about 2200-2400 revs and the power really fades off and it power seems to really lack up until then its grest does this in every gear but then somtimes it will not do it on the odd occasion any ideas

well the other day i had this problem it wudnt rev past 3k and as soon as i got to 3k it wudnt rev anymore nor build up speed VW seem to do a thing called "limp" mode god knows why cause i had no warnin lights or anything all i did was switch the ignition off and back on and problem solved, get Vagcom and run it thruogh and see what fault codes it brings up

check your fuel filter and clutch, or it could be that your timing belt was fit incorrectly if changed recently.

you also want to keep HT leads and your coilpack. I'd give the throttle body a good clean in the meantime too to see how that holds up.
