OEM Horn circuit

Post by pvr »

I have just bought a dual horn to replace the existing OEM one. The new one comes with a relay, but was wondering if I needed it. The diagram suggest a circuit with a 10A fuse in it. Does anyone know what the current circuit can draw and if the new relay is required to be used?

the existing wiring should hold out. If not, just put the relay in direct to the battery and ground it on the existing ground.

Think I will put the relay in, just to make sure. So will use 85/86 to connect to the existing horn wiring and use 30/87 to link the new horn to the battery.

Not looked at the battery yet - are there specific connections you can hook a new wire onto?
