Finally im ordering some coilies to lower her !!
Ive decided on AP coilies they seem like a gd deal.
When they get fitted i don't want any rattles or knocking noises the drop links i need are they mondeo ones?? do i need to replace anything else?? its a 1.6 btw not a gti
yes u need mondeo drop links make sure u get the correct ones, its better to go to a store (ford or carcraft etc) as you can see that its the correct one as i bought sum of ebay i think they must of bin the newer model as they was exactly the same size as my current ones. the correct ones shut b a little bit smaller n fatter.
I haven't got them yet but there £365 from venom motorsports9last time I checked) guna order them this week hopefully along with the mondeo droplinks if someone could maybe tell me which ones to get from the earlier mondeos. or any other droplinks that would fit????
Is that a known issue with the AP ones? When I changed to KW coilovers the mounting point for the droplink was different so I didn't have an issue when I used the original ones..... might be worth checking if you definitely need to with AP ones.

Same with my Weitec's, the mounting point for the droplink was much higher up the damper than the original one.
It's probably worth waiting until you get the APs and then comparing. A couple of days with long droplinks won't kill the car if you don't lower too much.

True, the mondeo droplinks are only ever so slightly smaller than the polo ones, where as the Vmaxx ones are tiny.
If your going really low go with Vmaxx to be safe, 50mm or above mondeo ones will do fine.

Where have you found the vmaxx ones cheaper than mondeo links ?
as from what i've found mondeo - ~10gbp and vmaxx ~45gbp
