they would do the job but "SMD" l.e.d.'s would be better but by all means they should make a noticable difference and it only for the licence plate recess... go for it mate :D

you will need two of those ones for your licence plate, the interior one i have is this...

its ok actually not too bright but bright enough and is a real good white light if you know what i mean... think it was alex perkins who suggested this one to me :D

note that the interior festoon bulb is 42mm and NOT 36mm :D
