Help Needed Fixing my Electric Windows!

Post by lowfoon »

My passenger window only goes up from the driver's side but does not go down.

Aware of the common problem I check the wires between the doors. I had looked like the previous owner attempted to repair it before...
The black/White cable wasn't soldered unlike the brown cable so I cut it and decided to solder again.

What I had noticed was:

When the black white cable was connected; Passenger Side only went up + Driver's side worked like normal

When it was disconnected; Strangely the passenger side went down when up was pressed! + the driver's did not work at all

I can't get my head around this one!! :x

Sounds like an earthing fault - im to presume you taped the soldered repairs up so they couldnt touch?
