Re: reset the ECU??
im curious as to why you would want to ?
Re: reset the ECU??
cleaned and disconnected some sensors so I would like the ECU to learn the new readings (if it does actually learn them)
Re: reset the ECU??
im sure i remember reading somewhere you just have to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery

Re: reset the ECU??
If you have an error code, youll most likely need VAGCOM or as its now called, VCDS to clear the faults as the negative battery trick doesnt work well on these modern ECUs
Re: reset the ECU??
I don't actually have error codes but as some of the sensors are now cleaner I would like the ecu to "learn" on the new readings if it is actually an adaptive ecu after all
Re: reset the ECU??
btw talking about sensors the fuel meter is not working quite well all the time ... it should be the sender from the tank no??
Re: reset the ECU??
i think so theres like a float mechanism on the fuel pump inside the tank,(can be accessed from under the rear seats) i got a feeling the sensor is inside the pump, bit of a b**** to get todub6n2 wrote:btw talking about sensors the fuel meter is not working quite well all the time ... it should be the sender from the tank no??

Re: reset the ECU??
It'll automatically adapt without any reset needed if it needs to change.
