Cloth Heated seats
Ive just seen a gti with cloth interior and heated seats,
does this mean there are heating elements in all cloth seats? If so has anyone got wireing diagrams/part numbers for the switches and connectors?
Thanks

Re: Cloth Heated seats
It's part of the Winter Pack. You get headlight washers as well.
I don't think that the heating elements are present in standard seats. For the hassle of fitting the heating elements, you're probably better off sourcing a set of front seats with them fitted and then wiring it in.
Hope this helps.

Re: Cloth Heated seats
The elements are only fitted to those cars that had the winter pack chosen as an option
Its not as simple as just adding elements and wiring - theres alot more too it than that, majorly from a loom point of view and the fact its all linked in to the comfort ECU

Re: Cloth Heated seats
This is all true. I have the winter pack and couldnt live without it soooooo amazn lol just thought I'd rub it in
ko I've heard of people fitting recaros or just buket seats and fitting heating elements to them and a switch you must have two blanks in your dash for them
Re: Cloth Heated seats
Agree, I love mine too!!!drennan wrote:This is all true. Re: Cloth Heated seats
I got the heated cloth seats in mine too, as many other people have said its part of the winter pack along with headlight washers and (I think?) heated windscreen washer jets, although im not 100% sure but mine never seem to have frozen in the winter we have had thus far so I assume they are heateddrennan wrote:This is all true. Re: Cloth Heated seats
All newer vw have the heated jets I believe
Re: Cloth Heated seats
love my heated leathers too, but i chose to have my seats retrimmed in black nappa leather as the original leathers are poor quality and on removal it was clear to see that every part except where your bum and back touch are actually vinyl not leather, tut tut vw,
Re: Cloth Heated seats
All part of the winter pack, however this complicates things in the modding future I'am finding out. The headlight washers dont work if you go for a FMIC
and heated seats will complicate things as I want buckets (RS4s or maybe "porsche tombstones")
Re: Cloth Heated seats
thats not actully true, my forge front mount fits nicely with my washer jets and heated looms can be unplugged if you wanted heated seats and no warning lights show
Re: Cloth Heated seats
+1 I had no issues with fitting my FMIC and I have headlight washers...
Re: Cloth Heated seats
I fitted the Forge front mount intercooler to my mates car who had washer jets with no issues.
The instructions show how to do it on a model with washer jets.

Ahh I see. Do you guys all have the forge one? back to that old debate....... which is best
Re: Cloth Heated seats
forge one yeah, as for whats best, to be fair its a million times better than the standard effort, it never causes me a problem, always capable of good cooling even with my heavy boost happy foot
fits, work, looks good, job done

Re: Cloth Heated seats
cheers for the reply! I was un clear there. I was asking is the forge one better than the ibiza cupra one? that was my fault man. I've heard mixed reviews from both :s also if i was to buy the forge one from awsome does it come with everything i need? where did you get yours?
