Cloth Heated seats

Post by chris meardon »

Ive just seen a gti with cloth interior and heated seats,

does this mean there are heating elements in all cloth seats? If so has anyone got wireing diagrams/part numbers for the switches and connectors?

Thanks

It's part of the Winter Pack. You get headlight washers as well.

I don't think that the heating elements are present in standard seats. For the hassle of fitting the heating elements, you're probably better off sourcing a set of front seats with them fitted and then wiring it in.

Hope this helps.

The elements are only fitted to those cars that had the winter pack chosen as an option

Its not as simple as just adding elements and wiring - theres alot more too it than that, majorly from a loom point of view and the fact its all linked in to the comfort ECU

I got the heated cloth seats in mine too, as many other people have said its part of the winter pack along with headlight washers and (I think?) heated windscreen washer jets, although im not 100% sure but mine never seem to have frozen in the winter we have had thus far so I assume they are heated

love my heated leathers too, but i chose to have my seats retrimmed in black nappa leather as the original leathers are poor quality and on removal it was clear to see that every part except where your bum and back touch are actually vinyl not leather, tut tut vw,

All part of the winter pack, however this complicates things in the modding future I'am finding out. The headlight washers dont work if you go for a FMIC :? and heated seats will complicate things as I want buckets (RS4s or maybe "porsche tombstones")

thats not actully true, my forge front mount fits nicely with my washer jets and heated looms can be unplugged if you wanted heated seats and no warning lights show

I fitted the Forge front mount intercooler to my mates car who had washer jets with no issues.

The instructions show how to do it on a model with washer jets.
