Cupra bushes help

Post by bfc1882 »

My gti has just failed it's mot today due to the front rear wishbone bushes been badly worn. After reading up on here it seems to be a common fault so I popped to seat to buy some cupra ones. After getting home I think they may have sold me the wrong ones so wondering if somebody could put up a pic to put my mind at rest.

Cheers mate looks like he has given me the wrong ones as the ones he supplied me had cut outs in the bush. Do I need the cupra tdi ones then or the cupra petrol model ones.I just asked for the Ibiza cupra ones for an 06 plate thinking they would be right. The part number on the invoice is 1k0 407 183 E.

Cheers for the advice got the correct ones fitted now. Also got a set of four pirelli pzero and first impressions are not good. Hope they just need bedding in a bit. Not sure if they will fit a 1.4 but the old bushes look exactly the same as the girlfriends 1.2. I'm sure someone on here will put you right.

Am not entirely sure they will fit the 1.4 TDI. I had the 1.9 TDI Sportline, 58 plate and it had a completely different setup than my GTI. Rather than having this bush, it had two plates.
