Fiddling With VAG-COM

Post by Baldchap »

The whole 'fourteen presses to get in the car' thing has been irritating me a lot of late, so I popped up to see a mate yesterday to have a fiddlewith his VAG-COM. Fantastic piece of kit. Tested pretty much everything, full diagnostics and I've now got a revolutionary new feature: When i tell the car to unlock (with the unlock button), it actually unlocks the doors and boot. At last!

Also enabled anti-hijack and got a cool video of a 0-160 run (speedo test  )complete with realistic rrum-brum noises.

I'm a happy bunny.

ive had this done to mine (anti jacking)

when your car moves more than 10mph the doors auto lock, used to have it on my leon and wasnt till a friend with vag.com told me he could do it that i realised that i wanted it in my polo, its very handy as the wife drives it more than me

VAG-COM's certainly been about for at least six years, as I used it once on my vRS many moons ago. The versionb my mate has upgraded itself before we used it, so there abviously are online updates but whether they work forever or just for a year or major new version I wouldn't like to guess.

Try the manufacturer: http://www.ross-tech.com/ for more info.
