Replacing stereo

Hey guys, recently bought an 06 1.2 Polo and want to add a decent stereo that I can use to listen to my ipod whilst on the move.

Got a budget of around £130-£140 and just want to check I'm ordering the right parts so I don't have to mess about with sending stuff back. Here's what I was going to order:

Don't really want to be messing about with re-wiring stuff as my knowledge is rubbish so I thought this adapter would be good.
Is the stereo the best I can get within my budget? not looking to spend more than £100 on it
And any idea on the shipping costs from vaglink?

That adapter looks like a standard quadlock (the name of the 9N3 wiring plug) to ISO (generic fitment) adapter to me? Needs a bit of wiring - you'll probably need to connect a wire to an ignition live to get the radio to turn on/off and to remember it's settings.

It isn't particularly difficult wiring, but if you want complete plug and play, then you need a can-bus adapter for £35. Magic stuff, literally plugs in and then you plug the radio into it. I use the Connects2 CTSVW003 for mine. Their website suggests the CTSVW002 for the Polo but I found only the 003 worked on mine!

The rest of it looks good, you can get the storage tray from VW direct though, might save you some waiting/cash to customs. Last time I bought from Vaglink, customs took a wedge of cash for the privilege! Be warned...

In the description of the adapter, it says "Solves 'memory loss' problems where the replacement radio forgets its preset station settings or clock time" I hope this means that it remembers its settings and turns the radio on and off when the ignition is set.

Correct buy the Adaptor but you can wire up to ciggy lighter but if you no idea bout wiring don't bother
