I think the most powerful gti of all the 9n3 gtis is on belonging to a member called vlad_pvs... His build thread is entitled: Vw Polo GTI 1.8 Turbo GT3071 Revo stage3. Any mods your going to need to do to get your gti to that bhp has probs already been done by vlad so have a look as his thread!

I would like to correct your on thats ;) The most powerful polo well definately in UK is running at just over 480BHP  Belongs to york who is also a fellow
member. I think he is running a GT40 if I am not wrong.

For you to reach 240 you would need the following:

FMIC,
Turbo intake and Throttle body hoses,
DV,
Turbo back 3" exchaust setup
Clutch depands if the current one is in good nick i.e. not slipping ;)
and obiviously the Stage 2 mapping software :)

Ko3s turbo is good for 240BHP

But saying, this was probably finished before you joined the Polo scene. Seeing his build thread innovated me to buy the GTI ;)

thanks for the replys 250 bhp was a approx 240 sounds good what would i need parts wise?

i've read in some places going over 300 bhp causes problems

@ drennan - i'm looking to spend about £2000 on parts

does anyone know a company or a place i can contact to discuss it like a trusted garage that are specialists in engine performance as well as being safe i don't want a cowboy mechanic when i comes to car modifying i want a professional and safe job i'm will to pay for safety

- Miltek full system £800 (could probably get and alternative for £500)

-Forge FMIC £600 ( alternative £350)

- 4 bar FPR £70 ( second hand £30)

- Remap £350 ( custom map prob £300 and better if you go to the correct guy)

- Forge 007p Dv £100 (i think)

That's the main components and that wouldn't see you far off 240bhp there are other items listed below that would help but only but a few bhp.

-Panel filter or open cone £60

-Badger insulting gasket £70 ( better than newsouth one as it's thicker)

-PD160 intake £60

Prices are just there about. Feel free to add anything I've missed folks.
