Buying a GTI with front mud flaps? Hate them!
Buying a GTI with front mud flaps? Hate them!
Found a nice 6R but it has front mud flaps fitted. Would they have had to drill some holes in the arch liner to fit them? This would put me off!
Re: Buying a GTI with front mud flaps? Hate them!
It can be done without drilling holes but they're not very secure so they are generally drilled !
Re: Buying a GTI with front mud flaps? Hate them!
Thanks for that- decided to go ahead as it was such a nice car. So as of today, I'm the proud owner of a candy white GTI!!! I get it on Tuesday- cannot wait!

Congrats buddy! What car are you coming from? I'm sure you will love it!
Re: Buying a GTI with front mud flaps? Hate them!
Have had quite a few VAG cars in my time- Mk2 Golf GTI, Mk3 Golfr VR6, LUpo GTI.
Then started a business- and had to buy something cheap, and reliable... Got a Hyundai Coupe....
... So glad I'm back in a VW- I missed it! The 6R feels so well built!!

Yeah ish! Manchester. Just hope I don't get issues with high oil consumption. It looked so good and drove so well that I decided to take a gamble and hope for the best!ashtons99 wrote:Hi, where did you buy it from, Ive been looking for one for a while. What extras have you got if any. Year, mileage etc?

I've never been fussed on spec- it's about the car's looks for me and the experience. So basic spec + 2010 60 plate with 7000 miles on it!ashtons99 wrote:Ah right. Ive missed a couple of decent ones but Im hanging on for right colour and spec.
