Hi mate, you'll need a 70mm diameter silicone elbow, 90 degree if you want it to sit in the bottom half of the airbox and a 70mm outside diameter air filter of your choice plus two 60-80mm hose clips to hold it all together. This arrangement will then bolt directly to the MAF sensor piping.

no worries mate, well it will reduce heatsoak slightly and the original air feed will provide it with some cool air.

This is the sort of thing you want as far as the pipe goes http://www.jsperformance.co.uk/silicone ... -bend.html

Then any 70mm cone filter would do - e.g https://www.jetex.co.uk/jetex/store/ind ... uctId=6691

You'll also need a 28mm breather filter for the SAI pipe - pipercross do one that fits perfectly, bought it direct from Forge as i live close.

I don't have a link as i bought it directly from Forge up in Gloucester sorry mate.

I would ring them and check but if you buy this http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/conten ... ct=FMFIL28 I think they will send the pipercross one out that they sold me.

Cheers

No problem dude, you helped with the idea of this setup in the first place :) How do you find it by the way? because I don't get any intake roar with the ITG cone the way it is now, its like the engine is too loud to hear it. Just wondering weather a cone filter like the jetex one above might be louder.

Also just checked the packaging for the pipercross filter I have and it's a motorcycle filter if that helps :)

Cheers

Got my stuff in today the filter, silicone hose and the sai filter the one from forge is a pipercross one! Also i noticed i'll need to buff down either the hose or the filter neck since both are 70mm x 70mm im guessing this is just a case of peeling off some rubber?!

I've just got a k&n panel filter at the moment...revo stage 2 with FMIC 007p etc

Was looking to get either an open cone, with some sort of cold air feed/ducting and a heat shield.

Saw this on awesome's site:

http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/polo9n ... vag-ib-18t

anyone used these? Are they worth the money over the likes of a K&N cone filter kit?
