clutch and selector shaft seal

Post by rishisisodia »

Hi all I have a polo 6n2 1.4 16v (75bhp) x reg. the selector shaft seal needs replacing aswel as the clutch I was going to have a go at doing it but was hoping to get a bit of advice about it first.

Any tips on doing the clutch?

also whats the best way to do the selector shaft seal?

thanks in advance guys

Your best to do the selector shaft seal with the gearbox off

It needs to be hooked out then driven in with a 17mm deep socket

As for the clutch, the Haynes manual is very helpful for this.

Halfords stock them on the shelves...

Besides, its not just a set of pics. Its about 3 full chapters to cover driveshafts, gearbox, clutch, engine mounts etc.
