Cheap sill protectors that actually protect

The kick plates and protective film available in the VW accessory catalogue look nice, but they're ridiculously expensive and - more to the point - don't always protect the leading edge that takes all the beating from wives and children

Cheap solution, some textured black vinyl wrap. I got mine here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390683105411

As with all vinyl wrap, a heat gun is useful, though not essential in this instance. The 4 doors took me about 20 minutes, cost was negligible and the wrap feels tough enough to last a good few years.

No problem. The great thing with this solution is that you can cut the vinyl to however long/wide you want
