hi there mate the footrest are not off a GTI, however it is made too look like the GTI edition, i got them off eBay, the GTI footrest is there now, but i managed to grab one off a seller a couple of months ago who was selling a couple that didnt have the GTI badge on them. Also i ordered my footrests of Aliexpress for just under £20 here - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original ... 28351.html

The footrest was bit tricky to fit, i read that to fit it you have to take the footrest off by unscrewing the screw above it, but i really couldn't unscrew the small screw above it so instead, i drilled a smaller holes than the screws in the footrest and them hammered the screws through the holes and it made a really tight fit of the screws in the holes keeping the footrest secure.

CASPER - My 2011 Polo's journey

Post by IZVVC »

Also upgraded my alloy wheels, went from the 15" Castille Alloys to the 17" Golf GTI Monzs alloys. Really please with the outcome :D. Just wanted a bit of a meaner look and I think the alloys did just the job! The ride quality isn't that bad with these on either, obviously it's a little rougher due to less tyre bounce on the road, but it's definitely no uncomfortable to drive. I managed to grab the whole set of four on eBay for £130 for the lot, which in my opinion is a bargain, as they are in decent condition aswell :D

But yeah another little upgrade to the car which was worthwhile. :)

thats cool mate :)

And as for the alloys keep your eyes on eBay, theres a lot of car scrappers that flog a lot of VW wheels well under the price, so follow a search and check on it every few hours, thats what i did then as soon as that listing came up, i rang the buyer, and drove over that day to pick them up, as the price was really too good to rest on

Hi there guys it's been a while and I've done a few upgrades to the car since I last posted on here!

So first of all I changed the alloys from the monza to some brand new wheels that the Golf GTI normally has, sold my old ones for about £250 and picked these up for £350 [emoji1] Image

Furthermore I picked up an armrest for about £40 too! [emoji1] Image

Next up I changed my head unit from the rcd510 to a pioneer unit that has car play and android autos, picked it up from Italy for about half the price at £400, and with that I have installed all gloss panels which I bought for about £70, and lastly I installed a reverse camera for £18 from eBay as the head unit alloys aftermarket backup cameras, I'm really pleased with how it's coming together! Looking to lower the car next!

And Yes ciclo always raining here

But for the head unit surround heres the link mate http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/connect ... iano-black

It does come with the whole fitting kit which is needed for that surround to make it look a little bit more OEM.
