I don't think I've got a 17mm hex either.
Does it need to be drained?
Does oil pour out of the drive shaft holes?

Drained through the drain plug fill throughout the fill plug

For changing the clutch you don't have to drain it at all

That can be done with the gearbox full

3 screws holding release bearing slide/sleeve/tube.
Spline drive smaller than the M8 on the Inner CV's

Oh those, I think its M6, though it might be M7 according to the listing

Just phoned my local factors, none of his sets include M7 so hope it's M6

Also, how do extract the selector shaft seal? Dig it out with screwdrivers?

You can use an allen head failing it not being an M6..its been a while since ive changed one of those

Yes, or with like a dentist pick

Youll need to be careful removing it as you dont want to scratch the housing or the shaft

Refitting your best to use a deep socket over the selector shaft and tap the end with a mallet to seat it nicely.

I tried an Allen on one last night, it slipped. Pretty sure that was a 6mm if that means anything.

I've got a decent size braddle point I could lever over something, how tight are they?
