mrk 4 side repeaters

Post by jules_cm »

I've just bought some clear side repeaters for my 96 polo and can't see anyway of getting to the side repeaters to actually remove them. How can i remove them to fit my new ones?

Can't remember if it's slide em forward and they pop out at one end or slide em back and they pop out - basically it's easy look at your new ones and you'll see one end is a fixed lug and the other end is sprung plastic - you have to compress the sprung plastic end to enable the lug end to pop out

i think its push towards the back end of the car. its only a 5 min job. wiggle bout with the old 1 to get away from the front wing and then pull (quite tight) the connector.

then its just the reverse to get them on.

Thats why I was hesitant in pointing out the direction to push or pull - I'm sure one side of mine it was push to the rear the other side it was push to the front....

I use a screwdriver and a cloth to stop me from damaging the paint.
