I'm considering getting some spacers for my GTI. I preferably would like to go with 15mm front and back because I've read that 20mm+ puts a lot of unnecessary stress on other components. I also had 20mm ones on my old 6R GTI, front and back with unknown lowering springs (was like it when I bought it) and the tyres scraped the arches over any bump.
What size spacers do others use? And if its 20mm, do you get any tyre scraping with stock springs? I would be open to getting 15mm on the front and 20mm on the rear if it looks better.
Cheers

Re: 6C GTI spacers size
Why is it so hard to measure the distance from the wheel surface to the fender? ( giving you the spacer width you need)
Re: 6C GTI spacers size
What about accounting for suspension travel? My old car didn't look like it would hit the arches but it still didamer6R wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 8:52 pm Why is it so hard to measure the distance from the wheel surface to the fender? ( giving you the spacer width you need)
