There is a module you can buy that replaces the one in the (New Style) steering wheel which tricks the car into thinking that your hands are on the wheel all the time!!!

I think you're talking about the full on travel assist. You're supposed to have a capacitative steering wheel so the car knows you have a hand on it. Otherwise, you need to jerk the steering wheel every 15 seconds for the car to know you are in control be a use it detects the intervention. Without the capacitative steering wheel, travel assistis pointless asylum have to keep knock in car out of kilter to let it know you are still there, which it then has to correct.CLIFFORD2K1 wrote: Mon May 30, 2022 7:30 pm Does anyone know if you can code out the “hands on steering wheel” alert? This is amazing! i am wanting to do this to my Polo GTI. I have all the parts and the windscreen is going to be replaced. Could you share the wiring Diagram please? Theres plenty of MQB diagrams for the Golf's but i am struggling with the Polo. I have a 2021 pre facelift PoloScotty_boy vw wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2021 10:37 pm Today I retro fitted the genuine Lane Assist to my 2018 polo
After having a made up solution for a long time it was time to do it right

Re: Genuine Lane Assist Retro Fitted
Managed to get A5 installed, windscreen replaced and all calibrated.
Lane assist and high beam assist working as it should. Only problem I am facing is Traffic Sign Recognition, unsure how to approach the SWAP/FEC activation for this.
Any help would be appreciated
