Sourcing BCM Help

Post by rorybrks »

Hi all,
First post here - happy to be part of the community

I am looking to upgrade to BCM MAX and wanted to know what to look for when trying to source one. I am currently doing it for the upgraded gateway but I want to do other retrofits in the future.

I've read some threads and saw that 7E0937090 was recommended. I wanted to know what some of the specific differences are between some of the suffixes are, and what it means when they have no suffix.
Is it easier/more expensive to get a later BCM, or to get an earlier/cheaper one and flash its firmware (I only have VCDS so I think that I would require more tools and cost).
Also, my keys are 434MHz

Thank you for taking the time to help. I have an auto-scan if it's required, but cannot post it yet.

The latest is the E at the end, depending on your needs, perhaps a B would be sufficient already. But new is always better.

Thank you for your reply!
I have seen that some people say that E is for 315MHz on a polo BCM. Is it different with a transporter BCM?
