Re: Parking Sensors
Any advice where to put rear buzzer? I recevied the original bracket dor pdc modul. Bracket goes on the right side of trunck.
Also the next step is pull the wires for the front senzors. I will go with the right side of the car and behind the glovebox. Is there a rubber gasket/hole from the behind the.glovwbox to the engine bay?

Re: Parking Sensors
It looks good.
In the PDFs you downloaded, you have all the information with images showing where all the parts are located, including the rear PDC buzzer (2).

I recommend you learn to use them with a device other than a smartphone.
Also, use the AI and ask it as many times as necessary to get satisfactory answers... sometimes it's necessary to ask it endless questions, and even then, it doesn't have the slightest idea... then it's time to ask in the right places.

Just today I installed my control wires for the front side PDC sensors of my 12K project.

Sadly I am now unable to view any of your photos on this forum Fernando. I've tried on Bing and Google chrome on my work PC and also on my iphone and they all say the same-it says 'Content not viewable in your region'. Never had any problem previously.ciclo wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 6:57 pm

Re: Parking Sensors
I asked the AI and this is the answer:
Imgur has blocked access to all locations within the United Kingdom. It is not about specific cities or regions, but a full geo-block affecting any user trying to access the site from a British IP address.
The measure, implemented as of September 30, 2025, was taken after the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the country's data regulator, notified Imgur's parent company, MediaLab AI, of its intention to impose a fine for the handling of children's data.
As a result, users in the UK cannot:
Log in, view content, or upload images on the Imgur website.
View Imgur content embedded on other websites, such as Reddit or other forums.
Imgur's decision to withdraw from the UK market was a business choice to avoid the potential fine and regulatory requirements, and the ICO has stated that the investigation into the previous data handling is ongoing despite the block.
---
The only thing I can tell you, and what everyone who lives in democratic countries/places knows, is that decisions, sanctions, restrictions, blockades of generic nature are always 'bad decisions'.
I'm deeply sorry that you can't access the images I upload to the forum through Imgur. I'm truly sorry!!

I did not have the time until today to code with vcds rear parking senzors. But I need help now. One of the 4 senzors is not showing on the screen. The bars are not showing up on the screen for that senzor. Is there a way to find out what is the problem? I moved around the wires in the connector that connects to the pdc modul like you told me and connected everything again.
Can I see in vcds, like in measuring blocks what is wrong? It shows no error when I scan with vcds.
Before moving the wiring, every senzor was working but I had to swap the wires around because the left senzor was showing on the right side of the screen, and the right senzor was showing up on the left sife of the screen.
How to check what is wrong now?

Re: Parking Sensors
Double-check that you inserted the terminals correctly into the connector when swapping them. You need to be very precise when handling the contact terminals. Take photos of the connector where the wires were swapped and post them, or post a VCDS scan for a better understanding of what might be happening.Buci wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 2:22 pm Hy Ciclo..

It's also necessary to perform double-checks and know how to use diagnostic tools correctly. Scan, clear faults, rescan, clear faults, scan... When making these modifications, people often forget that the battery is a limited resource, and scans with a low battery can produce unusual results. It's highly advisable, whenever possible, to perform scans with the engine running.
Re: Parking Sensors
I am so said. After all that work. The system is not working as it should. One of the senzors was faulty. I changed it. And after all that time the ops park system is acting weird. VCDS says no errors. How can I explain hmmm. I was sitting in my garage and I put the car in the reverse. Door of the garage is closed behind the car and the system beeps and shows red bars on the screen.ciclo wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 2:56 amDouble-check that you inserted the terminals correctly into the connector when swapping them. So I started the car and went in reverse outside of the garage all the way to the mountain of snow and the system did not beep or the ops visual display did not show up on the radio.

Call the helpline (of hope) or tell/speak with the AI, it will alleviate your 21st-century frustrations.
Have you coded the PDC unit appropriately? Is it 4K? with OPS? ...
Please post an autoscan, even if you don't have any faults, we need to know what's installed in your 6R under the conditions you describe to be able to tell you what to do.

I did not want to bother you more that I did so tried to do it myself. It works now.
I double checked every connection, removed the rear bumper, reconnected everything, and now it works and has no errors on the vcds.
And now it works great.
My question is this. Is there any need for calibration for the distance that the senzors gives from the opstacle like a wall or something ( basic settings with vcds?l)
Some say that the measuring block in vcds must say some distance for each senzor like 150cm do 250 cm?

Re: Parking Sensors
Hi
, your questions don't bother me at all... I don't think I gave that impression, I simply gave you a very, very effective recommendation.
I apologize if you had a bad impression about it.
I suppose I'll have to refrain from making comments that others don't know or don't want to understand... hmm... I take it back
, it's totally impossible for me not to make the comments I deem appropriate, because otherwise "tolerance will reach such a level that intelligent people will be banned from thinking so as not to offend the ........." Fiódor Dostoyevski (apocryphal attribution)
Returning to the technical issues and I hope with a better sense of humor, I'm sincerely glad to know that you were able to finish the installation and that everything works. I suppose it's just the installation of the rear PDC sensors, right?
On the other hand, your insistence on not showing an autoscan with the new PDC unit you installed makes it impossible to offer you any kind of clear answer.
- If it's a PDC unit for the PQ25-6R, there's no need to perform a basic setting. There are no sensor detection distance calibrations with adaptations/coding. You can only determine the vehicle model where it's installed.
- If it's a different type of PDC unit for other platforms, some adjustments can be made in adaptations or specific datasets can be loaded.
Honestly, have a nice weekend!
