Mounting Chrome Bumpers

Post by SteB »

Hey all, ive got a small problem - i have aquired over the past few months a rear and two front bumpers... minus all end caps, mouldings, but more importantly, brackets!

The VW part no's for these are 861 807 135(L) and -136 (R) for the fronts, and 861 807 331 (L) and -332 (R)

I know its a long shot, but does anyone have any of these or know where i can get them? Failing that, im gonna have to make my own up - which wont be that tricky, but could be made easier if i had just one to copy from

Any help is much appreciated

Cheers

Have a word with MK1magic off Porka(Arron), he's getting some moulded in fibreglass for his project mk1!
Might even be getting pattern bumpers too!
Hmmm can see a market for these out there...lucky mine aren't too bad!

Fellas, nows the time to check Your Vdub shows for Polo oddments....i got a pair of mk1 nos chrome bumpers for £80 last year from Stamford Hall....(sold the front one on for £45 cause i only needed the rear!)...Polo parts will stick out a mile and blind you amongst the beetle stuff!!!
Hope that helps Steve!

They are also hard to find in Germany. You can get a complete set in new condition for approx. 80 EUR + freight.

Some prives are pervert. The back plastik edges 379 A and 380 A will cost nearly 80 up to 100 EUR / both. This edges have been stopped in production since 10 years.
