6n2 is the codename for the model of Polo, e.g the mk4 was 6n, and the mk5, called by some as the mk4 "facelift", is the 6n2. Newest Polos are 9n.

Aero wipers are simply a different design of wipers as fitted to later model VWs like the Bora, Passat and Golf from about 2002ish onwards - they look like a strip of rubber and are more flexible and more effective. I've got normal wipers, new in the middle of last year, and the rear one is already starting to smear and drag

whereas my parent's Bora are aeros and they've lasted since they had the car two years ago... aero wipers are on my "to-do" list

monkey_boy wrote:oh one last question if i may

just bought a CDsystem for the car, halfords doing a good deal, anyway what are the standard speakers like on a Mk5? i guess to get full potential will have to 'upgrade'?
I'm relatively happy with the standard setup of the GTi, I've got a VW Gamma unit and the standard speakers and it sounds OK but I'm thinking about an upgrade. I'm very fussy about the looks of the headunit though, plus need one that can communicate with the factory-fitted 6-CD changer in the boot, and to top it all of I'm worried about security*

however if you plug a new headunit in, you will get some improvement over standard simply because the new headunit's internal amp will push more power to the speakers. See what you make of it before spending cash on new speakers

basically if I have an upgraded headunit my car will become more of a target for thieving chavs, and I don't really like the idea of some pikey wanting to steal my stereo...
