That is very suprising. Any damage to the pistons? Could be an ideal time to bore the cylinders and get larger pistons! I'm not sure how well the block would take it. Which engine is it?

*Counts valves in pic*... oh yeah 16!

A 20v eh! Fair enough. Turbo or not? What will that be coming out of? What sort of power is it going to be seeing when you've finished?

i really want a tt 20vt BAM engine and stick a 5 speed box onto it :)

but going by the way money is right now and then the actual fitting its gonna be a good while yet.

just gonna get the 225 mapped to about 265 bhp which should be more than enough for a polo

Hell yeah, unless you want to go RWD, but thats extrememly costly. I'd like to make mine into the standard mk4 Gti that sold in Germany, but its never going to be worth it.

i had a polo 1.6 16v gti engine in my last polo and it only cost me about a grand but i did fit everything myself tho that was about 4 years ago.

well worth it if you ask me :D

sold it to one of the boys in my work and he often embarasses polo gti's  as well as others
