beeping oil light is doing my ******* head in

Post by adummy »

my oil light is still beeping at me

i changed the switch and it didnt do anything

today i disconnected the sensor and the oil light stayed on. i heard this could be a ground fault? is it?

and i know that oil is gettin to the engine cause took the cap off and can see it and after a quick test run there was oil at the top of the cap

also is there a second pressure switch on polos? i changed the one on the block but i have seen them on oil pumps before aswell

have you checked the oil level? may be too much oil

on some vw/s if you slightly over fill it this will also set the beeper off, it does on my transporter,

Have you had it plugged into vag-com...until youve done that, you might end up replacing things whilly nilly as it can be many things which brings that light on.
