Heater plugs fuse!!!!!!!!!!!!

can anyone help me??? my polo 1.4tdi is having trouble starting :( theres no power going to the heaters and ive been told its a common fault on them for the fuse to go but i cant find the fuse :? can anyone help me please????

I presume you mean glow plugs and not heaters?

polo tdi's often dont even use the heater plugs to start the engine unless its below a certain temperature not quite sure wat it was 6 degrees or sumet so oftens the case you dont get power to them cuz the atmospheric air is enough to warm up once compressed in the bore by the piston so you might not be looking at heater plugs for your fault here, let us know how you get on.

there is no power at all going to the glow plugs when the ignition comes on, the glow plug light lights up on the dash, but theres no power going to the plugs themselves, we have put a switch with a direct feed to the battery and it did help slightly but then stopped working?


problem is, everytime i get into it it takes f****n ages to start, jus makes me look silly when im there for agggeeesss waitin for it to catch?

anybody got any more ideas??

Have you plugged it into VAGCOM or similar mate? If not, I'd strongly recommend doing so as it will help you out

it runs exactly as it should do when its started, just takes a while to start it!! yep iv plugged it in at my dads garage and nothing came up!! all i need to do is locate the fuse for the glow plugs which i cant find, anyone got any ideas???

Fuse number 23 its a 5 Amp mate
