I am referring to 'Parking lights ON with Terminal 15 ON' – Byte12, Bit0.

A long time ago (back when we were, let's say, 'older-middle-aged kids'), I saw this feature coded from the factory on 6R models in Nordic/northern regions—Norway, Sweden, Finland—as well as on some 6R models in Denmark... and also on some 6R models in Netherlands (though I’m not entirely sure if the ones in the Netherlands came that way from the factory... 💗😄).

Ok, i understand what you mean. Yes i could use that as a temporary solution, even though i never liked the operation of scandinavian lights, because you always have everything on but as a temporary solution is better than nothing

Just one last question (Sorry for the numerous questions, i'm a pain in the neck, i know), i would like to connect the fog lights directly to the BCM for the SCLs so in that case, the relay for fog lights is unnecessary right? Would it be possible to have this variation of wiring harness/loom?

When I wired SCL into my fog lights, I moved the wires from fuse 54 into the BCM. My understanding is that the light switch (T17/8) is what powers it by standard and no relay is involved.
I isolated power to the fog light on one one side, and ran a single extra wire so they were wired in separately.
I used Ciclo's diagrams and it worked perfectly. I will let him send them them, as they are not mine to share. I can also recommend his looms and his support was great!

Thanks for the clarification. I was just asking because I’m probably buying his wiring loom in the next weeks so I was unsure if the relay for fog lights was needed in the type of configuration I would like. In the past, I used his diagrams for converting a t17 light switch connector into a t10 in a Volkswagen up and still works today flawlessly, so I really have no doubt in wiring looms he creates and the support he gives :D

I sincerely appreciate both of your comments, rorybrks & anto08445, it’s great to get such good insights without having to pay for them... 🤗

Regarding fog lights with SCLs (Static Cornering Lights):

There are several possible scenarios, but to summarize, the main ones are:

1 Fog lights + SCLs in the fog lights = SB57 fuse (T73b/11).
- With an 'electronic' AUTO light switch (T10), or with a standard (non-AUTO) light switch (T17).
- H4, H7, and 6C LED headlights.
- The type of BCM -High or Max- depends on the installed equipment.

2 Fog lights + SCLs in bi-xenon headlights = SB54 fuse + SB57 fuse.
- With an 'electronic' AUTO light switch (T10), or with a standard (non-AUTO) light switch (T17).
- Bi-xenon/Bi-LED headlights.
- BCM Max.

3 Fog lights only = SB54 fuse (supply from T17/8).
- H4, H7.
- Any BCM,

Now, the automatic light wiring that I manufacture, with a fog light relay, covers all the possibilities where it will be installed.
Let's say it was designed to be universal.🧙‍♂️

The fog light relay is not necessary for option 1, but it is still a double electrical protection for the 'electronic' AUTO light switch, it doesn't hurt to have it installed, although there is no problem that the T10/5 signal connects directly to T73a/7 without this relay (let's say it's a factory design with asterisks because the only official diagram that exists for 6R is the one I made 😊).

Therefore, anto08445, answering your question, of course it is possible.👍

That’s great then. If the fog lights relay gives more protection also in this type of configuration (possibility 1), then we can leave it, for me it’s not a problem. When I get the car back, one of the first things I’ll do is shoot photos, do an auto scan and send to you everything via e-mail. Thank you!

Great!
This—along with many other reasons—is why those images from your 6R models are necessary.
While an autoscan can be used to determine, with a fair degree of accuracy, which equipment was factory-installed, it is not 100% reliable. The autoscan does not tell you which and where the fuses are installed, nor the types of headlights (BCM High), etc... although it is essential for a general view of the vehicle.

Take your time until you get your 6R, and enjoy all of this just as you are doing now.
