Woah Momma! That was hard work.

Just fitted the sony unit - a doddle, but getting the old one out was satans own punishment.

Couldnt get the head unit to slide out and had to bend the chassis things back in to get the whole thing out as one. Managed to completed bugger the old unit has I had to ...

I'm gonna lose the standard sony head unit from my Mk4 polo. Does it remove with the usual headunit tool - square u shaped wire things on each end? Looked to be screwed in to me!

Also, is there some wire faffing to be had, and do I need an aeriel booster thingumy or can I just plug the ...

me too. Bought some cleaner today from halfords. To be honest theres nothing wrong with the car so not desperate to do it. On the other hand I worry about things like this so am keen to get it cleaned!
